Scouts / Lincoln Park Beach

  • Lincoln Park Beach 8603 Fauntleroy Wy SW Seattle, WA, 98136 (map)

Group member Brian also happens to be a Scout leader, and one of his Scouts, Jack, is taking on a restoration project for his Eagle Scout project. His goal is to remove the blackberry and other invasives on the beach side of the path between Coleman pool, north to where the path bends towards Lowman Beach. There’s probably close to 100 yards of brambles along the wall that we’ll start in on with Jack and his friends. From there we may start to work the patch from the Lowman side and let the Scouts work from the south, and we’ll help him complete his project before July. Senior Parks Gardener Tim is on board with the project and will be assessing the progress as well.

The spot is pretty much half way down the beach, so park in the Lincoln Park south parking lot and walk in, or come in from Lowman Beach, or from up top and come down the trail by the troll.
