By and By
In the Duwamish language “Alki” means “By and By.” This is the vision of our cleanup movement—that over time, through consistency and fellowship we can help create a cleaner, safer, more welcoming community in which to live. It may sound cliche, but we are seeing this vision being borne out in the areas we continue to lean into and address—and things are getting better.
We strive to make this difference throughout Seattle neighborhoods, with daily cleanup and Sprucing opportunities. Explore our Group Events, a self-led Block Drop, or try both!
Join like-minded neighbors seeking to create cleaner, safer spaces and a culture of environmental stewardship in the Pacific Northwest. Building community through purposeful action and fellowship — A Cleaner Alki (By and By).
“The Earth does not belong to us,
we belong to the Earth.”

Duwamish & Suquamish Tribes
With Gratitude
We acknowledge that we live on the ancestral lands of the Puget Salish, the Duwamish and Suquamish tribes, the First People of Seattle.
They valued, watched over and stewarded the lands and waterways we now live on and seek to care for. Our work is to honor the land itself and Indigenous Peoples everywhere.
