Harbor Ave & Fairmount Bridge Ravine Cleanup

  • Harbor Avenue 2101 Harbor Ave SW Seattle, WA, 98126 (map)

This is the replacement cleanup for the previously planned Eagle’s Nest cleanup that we were asked to push pause on by the city. In case people don’t get the message we’ll keep the same starting point and time so we can leverage their help. This will morph to a walking cleanup rather than a stay in one spot clean.

We’ll park and start groups off in both directions along Harbor Ave. We can clean all the way towards the West Seattle Bridge heading south and down towards Duwamish Head going north.

We’ll also send a group up Fairmount Ave. towards the bridge that spans the ravine with Admiral Way overhead. There is a person living under the bridge that we have a conversation going with. He is agreeable to us coming and helping out. Because the area under the bridge is very steep, a small group of us will go in prior to Saturday and get stuff down to the street level for easier cleanup. This section will have more elevation than the Harbor Ave cleanup areas for those wanting a more rigorous day ;)

We'll be collaborating with We Heart Seattle and the Rotary clubs of Seattle to hit this with as many community members as we can muster.

Parking & Meet-Up
There will be lots of parking along Harbor Avenue right at the base of the hill, and we'll have gear to use. I’ll have my phone on me if you need to reach out at 206-852-9552.
