Hi all, a group member's request has been on my back burner for quite awhile to start ringing some trees along Myers Way on the east side of the Shag / Arrowhead Gardens Senior Living building in White Center. Ringing trees means we’ll be cutting the ivy growing up the trees about 4-6 feet off the ground, pulling the vines back and then cutting at the ground and pulling the roots away from the tree, thus cutting the life connection of the ivy left in the tress which will begin to wilt, dry and fall off the tree over time.
Dave and I are going to get an early start tomorrow and see what we can get done. The trees are all out in the open up off the drainage ditch and they look fairly easy to get to but we'll see how flat the ground is once we get in there. Probably 40-50 trees in all I'd guess.
I think we'll be able to park along Myers Way just south of the work site.
