Group member Matthew alerted us to an abandoned camp a stone’s throw from Pathfinder K-8 in the West Duwamish Greenbelt. We were able to get in and cleanup the camp over the weekend and staged all the items into two piles that need to be hauled out by hand, at least to the top of the hill, from there we can likely wheel it out with our carts. There’s a little bit of elevation just getting up out of the camp but most of the work will be navigating the winding, narrow trail and getting the items out to the area for pickup. If you’re ok hauling up the hill we could use you down below. If you feel more comfortable on level ground we can have a team up top using the carts. It should be a fairly straight forward cleanup if it goes as expected. If we do it right maybe we’ll have time to hit Marginal Place afterwards?

Parking & Meet-Up
I believe we’ll be able to park in the far south end of the Pathfinder K-8 parking lot and then walk through the fence entrance past the portal-potty, we’ll leave cones out to guide to the cleanup from there. Feel free to reach out at 206-852-9552 (Erik).
