The group Schmitz Park Creek Restore will be spreading wood chips at the area we last pulled ivy with them up by Schmitz Park school. Their wood chips showed up early so they’re throwing together an impromptu event for anyone who’d like to get out and help spread wood chips over a grassy area they’re wanting to get natives back into.
The work area is just south of Schmitz Park Elementary at 51st & SW Orleans. There’s some street parking, or park at the school lot on SW Spokane and walk over.
