I’ve been reaching out to some Seattle Park Forest Stewards coming off the inspiring ivy removal workshop we did with Doug Adams last month and got connected to Heather Scott who is a Steward in Schmitz Park. Although she’ll have some ivy work in the future her pressing need right now is wood chip hauling from the entry to the park up into her planting area which is maybe only 40 yards from the pile. There is a little elevation from the street level to the planting area but very doable, especially if you’ve done any of our Eagles Nest or Sumner cleanup work.

The entry point is on a dead end of SW Spokane Street, just east of 56th Ave SW and there are some decent parking opportunities at the end of the street as well as along Spokane Street.
