We’ll pick back up on one of the projects we started back on Earth Day with a continuation of our cleanup of the bike path along Spokane Street under the West Seattle Bridge on the east side of the Duwamish River.

The area is a great opportunity for trash collection and a Sprucing up with lots of blackberries and other weeds crowding out the bike path so something for everyone. Because we'll be working on the bike path and close to the roadway we'll want to exercise caution and be aware of our environment. There was also recently a single tent encampment under an overpass along the trail that is vacant but has left a big mess to address.

Besides bikes commuters and road traffic I don't anticipate many other folks down there. But we can work in teams and help each other with tasks.

Parking & Meet-Up
We’ll park and meet underneath Highway 99 right in front of the ILWU Union Hall at the intersection of Spokane St. & E. Marginal. I’ll have my phone on me if you need to reach out at 206-852-9552 (Erik).
