Spruced! / Me Kwa Mooks Sidewalk

  • Me Kwa Mooks Park 4430 Beach Dr SW Seattle, WA, 98116 (map)

The last time we were at Emma Schmitz Park a passerby mentioned how overgrown the sidewalk was across the street, I went to scout it and actually witnessed a neighborhood walker carrying hand pruners with her to get by the hanging blackberry vines. I thought we could give this a initial whack on Tuesday and see how much of the sidewalk we can gain back, tho this may be a multi-day project.

This will mainly be blackberry, ivy, weed and cutting back of anything intruding off the hillside into the sidewalk. We’ll bag what we want Parks to pickup as they are short on people this week. Trash pickup can also be had.

Parking: There should plenty of spots along the park, and on the other side of the street as well, just look for the van.

Feel free to choose whatever cleanup type is calling you as there will be trash to collect and Sprucing to do. Please reach out with any questions, I can be reached at 206-852-9552 or Messenger.
