This is a different style cleanup for us. A section of dock washed into Weather Watch Park several months back and is slowly deconstructing and sending thousands of styrofoam beads out into the Sound and scattering them along the beach. We’ll attempt to deconstruct the dock using a sledgehammer and then scraping styrofoam off the concrete. The goal will be to remove the foam and rebar from the beach and leave the broken up concrete for the waves to break down over time.

I’d think we could have several teams on the beach working on the dock but and I’ll also have cleanup gear for extras to clean the beach and walk the neighborhood. Weather should be great!
