We’ve been collecting batteries from encampment cleanups for the past year or so and I now have 3 buckets full. Many were dug out of the mud and aren’t in great shape. We’ll separate out decent ones that we’ll divvy out to our Ridwell group members to recycle. The others we’ll separate into like sizes and tape the positive ends so I can drop them off at Hazardous Waste next week.
This will be an oddball event as we’ll mainly just sit around the covered picnic area on Alki next to the Statue of Liberty and do our sorting. It should be a productive, fun morning tho and I know my wife will love getting them out of our driveway!
