This is a pop-up clean following behind the city who just cleaned up further north on Harbor Ave. This cleanup will concentrate on a dumping area just off the sidewalk on the west side of Harbor Ave. The trail is just north of the 5 story, modern office building at 2775 Harbor Ave.

Lots of wire casings and insulation litter the first pocket followed by other pockets of discarded trash and some evidence of past hangouts as the trail winds up the hill a little. There's a couch and other evidence of a summer hangout area.

For those uninterested in doing the trail but wanting to help, the sidewalks and bike path along Harbor Ave. could also use some love and bringing all the strewn trash back to our main pile.

We'll get all the items gathered together and staged on the street and called in for SPU pickup.

For anyone interested in clearing some blackberry bushes, I think we can take some hedge trimmers to the bushes that obscure the area and offers cover to these illegal activities and will allow better visibility to watch the area in the coming months.
