Marginal Place Bike Path Cleanup & Street Fixers

  • Marginal Place 3816 17th Avenue Southwest Seattle, WA, 98106 (map)

We have cleaned at Marginal Place multiple times over the past several years due to the high traffic from illegal activities and dumping. The area was cleared of a long time RV encampment and this will be our second time back since the clearing. There’s still lots of trash on the hillside which may or may not be reachable Saturday depending on the weather which doesn’t look great so this could be a good excuse for simply working the bike path and area under the bridge where we can stay dry-ish ;)

There will also be a crew of Street Fixer folks working on ivy, blackberries and other overgrown areas and regaining some access and infrastructure in the neighborhood if that’s more of an interest for you.

The cleanup will be under the WS Bridge and along the bike path and surrounding areas. The mission will be to create a safer environment for bicyclists and pedestrians who use this area to pass thru on their commutes. Currently garbage, broken glass, and many discarded items make this a hazardous area to travel.

Parking & Meet-Up
We can pull all the way up into the cul-de-sac past the “Road Closed” sign on Marginal Place or you can park further down the street and walk up towards the bridge. I’ll have my phone on me if you need to reach out at 206-852-9552.
